    Description

I used to enjoy collecting the replica coins produced by Ron Landis at the Gallery Mint Museum.  I now find myself with more than I need so I am selling off some duplicates in a number of lots.  These replicas were produced with hand-carved dies on a screw press just like the early years of the US Mint. They are fascinating and nicely detailed works of art.  All of the pieces are marked "COPY" on either the Obverse or Reverse.  They all come in their original GMM flips.
This lot includes two 1793 Liberty Cap Large Cents.  One has Copy on the Obverse and the other has Copy on the Reverse.  Ron Landis actually made two versions of this coin.  This is the second version which is is in higher relief.  The first version which had a very low relief bust and those coins are in the previous lot if you are interested.
The coins are difficult to photograph but they are essentially as struck with bright fresh copper color.  Another slight difference with the second version is that there is a matte quality to the surfaces which is a little different than the usual strikes.
These are awesome little works of medallic art in their own right and would make a great complement to any collection of early copper coins.
As they are difficult to photograph, I will offer a return privilege.  I will charge .00 for shipping and will combine shipping for multiple lots.  I have
eight other lots of GMM tokens listed so please take a look at them, as well.  Good Luck!!
