Description

This note is one of the rarest 1890 Ornate Backs, and is extremely difficult to acquire in XF+ condition without paying close to five figures; there are less than 2 dozen graded examples in XF or higher and most are in permanent collections.
The minor repairs notation makes this note a unique combination of excellent eye appeal with a great price. The same note, graded a slightly lower 35 by PCGS with the same notation, sold for 00 at a Heritage auction early in 2022.
