This Large size note (also known as a Horseblanket note) is one of the classics in the Legal Tender/ United States Note series. It is known as a Treasury or Coin note as it was redeemable at the Treasury Dept for equivalent coinage.
This note featured President Lincoln's Secretary of War Edwin Stanton prominently on the Obverse. This was quite the honor as almost all currency of the US from the early days to date has solely featured Past U.S.Presidents.
The only reason I am selling this note is I have secured a higher grade of the same note.
I would grade this as a Choice Fine Plus note (but of course grading is subjective).
It has
4 square corners, no pinholes and vibrant color inking still remaining 131 years later.  While it does show some vertical folds the edges are still sharp with virtually no edge deterioration as seen in the pictures. The note is fully intact and paper integrity is not an issue. It can (and has been) easily transported from and to its protective holder.
