Antique 19thC Victorian Enamel & Micro Mosaic Religious White Cross Brooch
This is an
Antique 19thC Victorian Enamel & Micro Mosaic Christian Religious White Cross Brooch, that may have been a souvenir from the Vatican.    Measuring 1 1/4" high x 1 1/4" wide, with the pin bar extending an additional 1/4".  This intricate 19th century brooch features a white enameled cross in the center, the letters L V G A in gold gilt on a dark burgundy red background with navy blue enamel on the right, surrounded by a small white cross and a floral design in micro mosaic.  The brass frame has a very small brass beaded ball border.
Condition:  The c style pin clasp is in good working order.  Under magnification I was able to see some wear and scratches to the enal and micro mosaics.  There are also some small chips, cracks and breaks to the micro mosaic that are hard to notice if not magnified.
