For auction is this rare 1862 Two Dollar Legal Tender. This note is Fr.41 with the signature combination of Chittenden and Spinner. This note is in the Heritage House Census as an

Almost Uncirculated
. It is super crisp with no pinholes. It features sharp edges and simply excellent color
. It does have two reattached corners we mention for accuracy. These notes were all cut by hand. This note features a vignette of Alexander Hamilton who served as our first Treasurer. This very colorful note was our
first national two dollar note
!! Why is there numbers 1, 2 & 3 on this note? They are there because we originally were going to print 1, 2 & 3 dollar notes but that was changed up to just the 1 & 2 dollar notes with the last minute cancelling of the note.
