Vintage heavy beautiful Satsuma basket with detailed Geisha group painting in warm colors and gold, made in China. This is a beautiful replica of expensive Japanese Satsuma. It is beautifully preserved with warm but clear colors, plenty of gold and raised paint dots. Measurements in pictures. In wonderful vintage condition - no chips or cracks. There is crazing everywhere in this piece, it is under the glaze and seems to be a manufacturer's choice. Some small dark spots on the gold at the handle.
