    Description

Charming hand painted wood door stop measures 11" tall, x 7 1/4" wide and has a 7" long wedge to hold the door. Depicting a white dog with a red bow and a silver tag reading "TEX", the doorstop is painted in white with black and red features. Signed on the tail with initials that look like "FLN", we think that the door stop was made in the 1930s or 1940s. In as found estate condition, there are paint losses and a chip to the wood on the edge of the bow. Two old nails need to be hammered back into the wedge for the door, but overall, a really great piece of American folk art to add to a collection. Sure to find a good home, the door stop is offered with out reserve.
