    A Rare Find, This Is a piece of Native Michigan Copper salvaged from the steamship Pewabic that was launched in 1863 And Collided with Her Sister Ship and Sank In 1865. This disaster is considered the 7th worst disaster in terms of life loss on the Great Lakes. And the worst ever on Lake Huron.
    The copper is mounted on a piece of the barrel stave it was shipped in and has a description of the copper piece.
    Excellent looking piece of copper with a nice patina.
    159 years from time of loss and 48 years since salvage.
    Could not weigh just the copper but the whole piece weighs 12.8oz.
