Description

This Dovetail/Plate combination mounts on Celestron C8 Family SCTs for
mounting the scope on German equitorial mounts that accept Vixen/Orion/
Synta type dovetail bars that are about 1.6" wide.
The mounting plate has holes and slots that line up with the C8 factory
accessory mounting screw positions.  Radius blocks are not used, as the
supplied hardware kit attaches the plate rigidly to the scope without them.
The machined, black anodized dovetail bar is attached to the black
powder coated aluminum mounting plate that attaches to the scope.
The #MDC8 kit includes the dovetail bar attached to the mounting plate,
stainless steel mounting hardware, and instructions.  The dovetail bar
is 8.25" long, the mounting plate is 2.5" wide and 1/4" thick.
On the front cell center line there should be one hole spaced 12-1/4"
from the rear holes. This hole is threaded 8-32 or 10-24.
On the rear cell center line there should be two holes side by side,
spaced 1-3/4" apart. These are threaded 8-32 holes.
The scope and mount shown in the picture are not included!
