The only thing more lethal than this superb fighting knife on any battlefield will have bullets coming out of it. Hand-forged from fine carbon steel, its blade was shaped for only one thing: the swift and silent dispatch of an enemy when absolute silence is required. As you can see in the photos its blade was expertly ground on both sides with a long ricasso--a master class in how to make a dagger. Both edges are razor sharp enough to shave a man's face. Unfortunately, though, the double-edged nature of this blade makes it a violation of ebay rules to sell on ebay outside the USA. Handle is a beautifully sculpted piece of osage orangewood, reinforced at bolster with a brass ferrule and a solid brass cross-quillon that was made to keep your fingers where they belong: on your hand. As you can see, it has a full, rat-tail tang that extends to the butt of pommel where that tang is anchored by a countersunk fitting nut.
Whether used on Long-Range Patrol or for sentry removal, it is a frighteningly sharp weapon that was made to be used, not just admired. It comes to us as part of a larger collection we recently purchased and is something of a mystery, since it's unmarked. That is truly a shame because its maker should rightly take a bow for crafting something so fine. If you know what quality looks like, though, its maker is irrelevant; this knife exudes quality in every detail and if you disagree for any reason we'll refund your purchase price AND the cost of shipping it back. Anyone else on ebay standing behind their knives that way? We didn't think so. It comes with a sheath but that sheath was made by Schrade and is not original. It fits the knife like the proverbial glove, though and is tough, lightweight and easily deployed. As you can see, the handle does have a hairline on it, which I've since filled with wax and superglue, so it's not only MUCH less visible now (you really have to look to find it) but 100% stable and tight (it was stable and tight before I filled it). You might want to be grateful for that minor flaw, though, because not only does it cause us to greatly reduce our price on this knife but unflawed, it probably would've been impossible for me to part with. The knife measures 13" long with an 8-1/8" blade but by any measure this is a very special knife the likes of which simply do not come up for sale but once in a blue moon. RETURN POLICY:
We can no longer participate in eBay Returns but you may return this item for ANY reason, including buyer's remorse. Your intention to return MUST be emailed to us within 72 hours of receipt of your item and item MUST be received within 14 days, as determined by Delivery Confirmation delivery time posted on the USPS website. All returned items must be in the same, saleable and unused condition as when shipped, with all original packaging and/or with all tags attached where applicable. There will be

SHIPPING:
NO ONE likes the cost of shipping. We do whatever we can to minimize your shipping costs on multiple purchases, and in most cases, combining multiple wins will save BIG, often shipping two or more items for the cost of one. In order to streamline the process, we will provide a flat, upfront shipping rate in our auctions whenever possible for all U.S. buyers. IN MOST CASES ACTUAL SHIPPING WILL BE LOWER THAN WHAT WE CHARGE; this is the way we pay our teenage neighbor to pack and ship our ebay items (he keeps the difference). If you dislike this or find this unfair, PLEASE shop elsewhere; we only want happy customers and it's our feeling that no one should be able to claim dissatisfaction with this policy, since we're stating it up front. It's not an attempt to profit, simply the only way my elderly bones can continue to offer so many items. Please keep in mind, too, that our prices for shipping in USA always INCLUDE insurance AND Delivery Confirmation unless otherwise stated (sorry, no exceptions to this.). INTERNATIONAL:
SORRY--NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM EXCEPT TO CANADA.  The U.S. Post office has recently raised all international shipping rates, and so must we. NO ONE likes this but all terms of shipping are NON-NEGOTABLE.
Int'l shipping rates posted in our ads include a minimum .00 handling (sorry, even Canada, due to tedious Customs forms and Post Office procedures) to cost of actual shipping, with acceptable payment on international transactions in the form of paypal only. If you can only pay via some other method, email us prior to bidding.
International packages will be calculated on the basis of a MINIMUM ONE POUND weight.
International packages cannot be insured and we cannot be held responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit (we pack very well, but shipping overseas is strictly at buyer's risk). Want tracking? You will have to pay an additional .65 for Registered Mail or you may upgrade to the option of Express Mail International.
IMPORTANT:
After TWELVE YEARS of doing everything we could to hold the line on int'l. shipping costs, we have taken our LAST loss, so we've been forced to implement a new policy in which
Shipping costs on ANY international parcel sold for over will now include a required .65 Registered Mail fee in order to make your purchase trackable. This is 100% non-negotiable.
The cost will be factored into the posted shipping costs of any item that STARTS at or more, but if you purchase several items, the charge will have to be added at the end. Again, this is NON-NEGOTIABLE.
We have NO control of your parcel once it has been shipped, and in our Post-9/11 world, your own nation's Customs may cause lengthy delays in delivery time.
