    Description

This vintage Japanese three tier container with carrier is a beautiful example of vintage Japanese craftsmanship.  I believe that it is made of wood composite formed and covered with red paint and etchings of Japanese symbols.  Unfortunately, it appears that this beauty has been dropped and has the scars to prove it.  Most obvious at first glance are two repaired breaks in the handle visible in photos 4 and 5.  There are a few chips to the paint visible on the decorated exterior.  The interior reveals a linear crack on the side of the first compartment which is hard to see in the photos and a noticeable chip on the inner edge of the third compartment.
The handle measures approximately 10 " at the highest point.  The containers are 10 3/4" long with a width of 6-1/4".
In spite of its flaws, it could still find use as a storage space for light items such as sewing notions and it remains a beautiful display piece.  If you have any questions, please ask through Ebay.
    Thank you for your consideration.
