    Description

    This VERY vintage Asian shell art shadow box is 9 7/8" x 17 1/4" x 1 1/4". Two blue-headed birds are perched on a tree branch with blossoms, and two large flowers can be found below. The backdrop is blue at the upper edge, and gradually fades to white. A caption and signature block can be found in the upper right. Because of its splitting, the white matte looks like very thinly sliced wood. The backing is wood.
    The glass has no scratches, chips or cracks,  but has a black grain embedded in it, giving it a slightly dimpled look. The frame has expected wear commensurate with age. The matte has cracks from drying/age. Look at all photos,  as they are part of this description.
